The Smithsonian magazine has a wonderful list of some of the best travel stories of the year. From books about the Grand Canyon to Vietnam, these books take us to different parts of the world. Even if we can’t travel. With these books, we are able to enjoy these adventures, experiencing a place thousands of miles away from our own home. You can see the full list below!

We haven’t read any of them. We will read “The New Tourist” by McClanahan and “Why We Travel” by Bhardwaj. We think the time for travel is gone. Since mass tourism, travel isn’t fun any more, and travelling is polluting and destroying. Therefore, it’s debatable to speak of good travel books.
