The New York Times’ ten best books of 2024 list is finally out! With less than a month left until 2025, the New York Times has officially released their list. Keep reading to find out what ten books made their list.
A couple of weeks earlier, the New York Times released a list of their 100 notable books of 2024. But their top ten is the one that everyone will be talking about. With this list, the Times trimmed the list down and chose the best of the best and the list has some surprises.

Two books that seem to be making every end of year list are James by Percival Everett and Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar. James did win the National Book Award and has been one of the best books of the year. And any other year, Martyr! would have been the novel to dominate the news channels.
But besides those two, many of the books on this list aren’t as talked about. From amazing fiction novels to biographies, this list has it all. You can see the full list below!
