We all have books that we think about all the time and recommend them to all our friends. Today, we will be looking at Buzzfeed’s three unforgettable books. Keep reading to find out which books made their list!
Buzzfeed’s Three Unforgettable Books
- Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
- Watchmen by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and John Higgins
- Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica
Normally, these lists are based on the community at Buzzfeed but that isn’t the case for this list. The author of the article listed their favorite books and that feels like a first for Buzzfeed.
Homegoing

There is no criteria for this list of unforgettable books and are instead personal favorites of the author. The first novel they selected was Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi.
“My favorite book of all time is Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. The story was so impactful to me as an African American, and I will never stop singing this book’s praises.”
The Watchman

The second book mentioned is Watchmen by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and John Higgins. And yes, while it is a comic series, it is so good that it should make most people’s favorite books list. It is considered one of if not the best comic ever written by many fans and critics.
Tender Is the Flesh
Lastly, the third book to make the list is Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica. But unlike the previous two books, this one didn’t make the list for a positive reason. The author of the article was surprised at how gory the book was.
“I will never forget Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica, and it’s not because it’s a top pick of mine. It wasn’t a terrible book by any means, and I think it was an interesting and engaging story. But wow…I was not prepared for how gory and unsettling it would be.”
