On February 27, Oprah finally announced the 104th book selection for Oprah’s Book Club.

Appearing on CBS, Oprah announced The Many Lives of Mama Love by Lara Love Hardin as the first book of the year for her book club. The book is an autobiography about Hardin’s life and how she went from a soccer mom to becoming addicted to opiates.

Oprah described the book as a story “about redemption, about joy, about hope, about claiming yourself and what you rightly deserve.” This isn’t the first time Hardin’s book was selected by Oprah. She ghostwrote a book that was previously selected for the book club and has ghostwritten for the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu.

With such a fascinating story, it is no wonder Oprah selected this book. Hardin has lived a life unlike anyone else and has indeed lived many lives. And now, this book is most likely going to become a bestseller by being selected by Oprah.

Readers can read along with Oprah and her bookclub for the upcoming month. And on March 23, fans of the book club can most likely expect Oprah to interview Hardin.
