6 Classics That Are Boring That You Should Avoid

The best thing you can do is to give a book a try and after reading for 15 minutes, you aren’t into the book, you should stop reading it. This list includes books that many people did not enjoy for various reasons. We all have read a book and regretted reading it afterwards. You can see the full list below.

6 Classics That You Should Avoid

Skip These Classics

A classic that I believe is overrated is The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. While I did enjoy being transported back centuries ago, the writing makes it difficult to enjoy the novel. Some sentences go on for too long. And other times, Hawthorne focuses to much in explaining the importance of the scarlet letter, spending many pages on it.

Another classic that many readers didn’t enjoy is Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. This one is interesting because the book is interesting and fun. But it is hard to read at times. I had the same problem and couldn’t get interested enough to keep reading it. If you have the patience for it, then it is worth reading.

Lastly, a book on the list that readers either love or hate is The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. The protagonist is unlikable and many readers cannot fathom something like that. I have come to terms that the protagonist doesn’t always have to be likable. And while I enjoyed this novel, I do understand why many people aren’t a fan.

Conclusion
