Oberlo’s Must Read Books
Unlike most lists, Oberlo decided to divide it into sections. They included classic novels, business books, personal development, science and technology, travel and adventure, and history books. I am not a fan of these categories or categories at all. It allows books that wouldn’t make the list make the list.
So, how does the list hold up? It is a decent list in my opinion. All of the books are good choices. On a scale of 5, I would give this a 3. It is a great list for beginners but not for avid readers. There aren’t any hidden gems or wild takes that would make this list more ambitious. It is a safe list that is targeted towards newer readers.
Conclusion

Re: 40 Books…. I’m sorry, but I don’t find this list at all compelling; only works from the 19th C. onward are worthy to be read? I think not. If you are going to enjoy reading, you want a fuller range of time and thought to appreciate the joy of expression. Very disappointed.

The problem I have with some of the books mentioned in the list, is all that self-help mumbo-jumbo on how to become a better person or how to get rich step-by-step..the arrogance to believe that one way to do it fits all..

Absolutely! Should be at the top of the list. Writings spanning over 1600 years, 40 writers, one theme, practical, reliable, historical, poetic and spiritual all in one place.
