It is Halloween season and this makes it the perfect time to look at actress Jenna Ortega’s favorite horror movies. In a short span, Ortega went from a Disney princess to starring in horror movies. With so many movies struggling, Ortega has thrived and has made the horror genre relevant again. She has appeared in blockbuster movies such as Iron Man 3 and shows such as Jane the Virgin. But she broke out in her role in Wednesday and hasn’t stopped dominating since then.

Her transition to horror movies has been incredible and with movies such as X, Scream, American Carnage, and Studio 666, Ortega has shown her ability to thrive in the horror genre. And with her role in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, she proved that she cannot miss. But what about her favorite horror movies? As someone that stars in many horror films, it is only right to guess that Ortega is a huge horror fan.

In 2022, Ortega shared her favorite horror movies with Rotten Tomatoes. Her top five included Possession, Insidious, The Witch, Prom Night, and Persona. Her list is all over the place, showing her love of the horror genre. Ortega also listed Insidious as one of her favorite movies because “watching that as a 12-year-old was traumatizing.” Every 12 year-old will be traumatized after seeing that movie so we don’t blame her.

Ortega has become the go-to actress when it comes to horror movies and we can’t wait to see what else she stars in the future.
