Oricon has been tracking manga sales and has the numbers for the top selling manga of the first half of 2024. And to nobody’s surprise, Jujutsu Kaisen is the best selling manga of 2024 so far. What is surprising is that it was a lot closer than many people would have guessed.

Jujutsu Kaisen is the Best Selling Manga of 2024

It has been Jujutsu Kaisen’s year so far as the manga has sold over 4.6 million copies so far. The popularity of the anime and the ongoing manga have made people tune in to find out what will happen next. We are in the endgame and the manga will be over in the next year or so. Until then, the manga will be sitting at the top.

But that is if Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has anything to say about it. This manga came in second place, trailing less than 300,000 copies with over 4.3 million copies sold. Either manga can end up as the best selling manga of 2024 and it will come down the the last month.

In third place is The Apothecary Diaries, the only other manga top sell over 3 million copies this year so far. With almost 3.8 million copies sold, this manga is a fan favorite and has surprised everyone with its ranking. After the top three, the rest of the list is filled with familiar names.

The one manga that does jump out is Mashle which has come out of nowhere over the past year. It does help that it has a popular anime out that fans loved, exposing it to millions of new users.
