Books to Check Out
One of my recent favorite authors is Kristin Hannah and if you haven’t read any of her books, then you are missing out. She is a gifted writer that will make you feel every word on the page. The Nightingale is a beautifully written novel that only an author of Hannah’s calibar could have written it.
The Nightingale is my favorite novel by her but she has a bunch of amazing books under her belt that you can read after! A novel that I think about often is The Secret History by Donna Tartt. If you need to know one thing about Tartt, it’s that she released an average of one book per decade. All of her books are worth reading but The Secret History takes you on adventure like no other. It has even inspired a subgenre and a formula that many others have used since this novel was released.
Recently, I read Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and was unable to put the novel down. It is a horror novel that takes place in Mexico and includes magic and Nazis. It is an interesting combination based on facts that Moreno-Garcia uses to tell a tale unlike any other.
