Classic Fantasy Books

If you had to read only one fantasy novel, then you have to read The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. Not only is it an amazing series but it is the formula that many fantasy authors have used to write their novels. Hundreds of books borrow tropes from this series and even tv shows and movies.
One of my favorite series on the list isThe First Law by Joe Abercrombie. It is a gritty and bloody series that feels like it belongs on HBO. The characters are interesting and the protagonist has his moments. The world building is what makes this novel special and one of a kind.

A fantasy novel almost as popular as The Lord of the Rings is The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. It is highly beloved by fans and was completed by Brandon Sanderson. And while it does have some similiaries to TLOTR, it builds upon things as well as expanding on characters and storyline.
Conclusion
Grab one of these fantasy novels and read throughout this fall. It will take months to read some of these fantasy novels. And before you know it, winter will be around the corner. It will be time well spent!
