I came across a prompt that I felt like I could not pass up so that is why I will be answering the question “What’s more important? The journey or the destination?” Both have their benefits but only one is the right choice for me.
I believe that the journey is easily more important than the destination. It is always great to achieve goals but how we achieve them shows us who we are and what we are capable of. If we were always rewarded something without struggling to attain it, then these rewards wouldn’t do much to change our mood.
The life lessons, the knowledge we gain, and the people we meet along the way are much more rewarding then the destination. Those lessons and friends are priceless and will lead to a happier future where you are much wiser.
When I first read this prompt, I thought of my favorite novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. That is word for word the plot of the novel and as Coelho points out, the journey was much more important. There’s also a lot of stuff about the language of the universe that I won’t get to but it makes for a thought-provoking novel.
To me the journey is more important. Do you agree or disagree?
